The course is intended primarily for post-doctoral researchers and Ph.D. students in structural biology with at least one year’s relevant experience in 3D-structure determination of macromolecules (X-ray diffraction, SAXS, cryo-electron microscopy).
This workshop is coupled to the symposium "Current Challenges in Integrated Structural Biology" (October 3 - 4, 2016, IGBMC, Illkirch). We strongly encourage participants of the workshop to attend the meeting.
The workshop will cover state-of-the-art methodology for data processing with emphasis on integration of different methods to solve structures of macromolecular complexes and ‘difficult’ targets. More precisely, the course will address three aspects:
- X-ray diffraction and diffusion
- Cryo-electron microscopy
- Integration of X-ray crystallography, Cryo-Electron Microscopy and Small Angle X-ray scattering in structural biology.
This workshop forms part of the Instruct and of the FRISBI Training Course Programme 2016. It also part of the french national PhD program in Integrated Structural Biology (ReNaFoBiS).
